who's dog besides mine has hunting withdrawls
« on: February 15, 2013, 10:30:21 AM »
My dog just goes absolutely crazy when I open the gun safe :chuckle:.  I still think that she thinks it is hunting season :chuckle:. She just won't stay still when the safe is open.

Training Sat and Sunday. They'll get some pigeon fliers shot.

If you are out hiking this weekend and you hear, "find the bear penis, find the penis bone, find it, find it" don't be alarmed, we're just hunting...lol..

Mine just started trial season 3 weeks ago, so no rest for the wicked for her.  She won't get done trialing until her last championship in Nebraska near the end of April.  Then she gets to come home and be a bum for 3 months before summer camp in the South Dakota.  She spends all but 3 months of the year on some type of birds.  But I have to be careful getting my hunting gear or my shotgun out any time of the year.  She goes crazy no matter what when she sees blaze orange and a shotgun case.

My GSp is having a hard time.
He's getting restless and no matter how much I run him and Fetch with him he just won't sit still
I think were heading up the mountain this weekend to sniff out some rabbits
Maybe thatll calm him down a bit.

Mine's enjoying the stepped up conditioning and more frequent training opps. Goes nuts everytime he sees the collar or harness come out.

Haha  :'( It sucks to be a rabbit, squirrel, robin, crow, or anything else around my house right now. They all get the chase  :chuckle: Although she pulled a muscle in her shoulder so she can't run at the moment  :'(

Does this look like a bored lab wondering why we haven't been hunting lately?  Poor Bella...

Yes both my pups get really excited any time I get near my hunting gear.  I'll get her working on some birds this spring.  That should ease up on her boredom!
