slick trick grizz trick 2s
« on: February 16, 2013, 03:21:12 PM »
well i my deep impact arrows with 4 fletchings on them have proven to fly well.
i ordered some grizz tricks to see if they would fly well enough to hunt with.so far i am very impressed.they are pretty sharp right from the gate.i screwed one on and at 40 yards its touching my field arrows.
one of my worries was noise.well these are not as noisy as my phatheads but not as quiet as my shuttle ts.i am not worried about the noise these put out.i will be doing some more testing tomorrow but the first testing is proving positive.
i think this may very well be a lesson in proper tune, spine and setup.i figured if i was going to see issues it would be with a big cut fixed blade.

Never sharpened just replaced the blades after practicing with them and they performed very well on my bull this year.

i liked the way shuttle ts performed on my deer last year.
i just cant help myself.im going to run through every broadhead that caught my eye before season this year.
seems with my bow fresh from the tuner n having proper spined arrows im getting good flight out of everything ive shot.figured these grizz tricks would be the hardest.so now its just down to noise sharpness n how they hold up.
i bent the tip on a ferrul of the grizz trick last night hitting a broken off insert thats in my block.im not sure im sure the phatheads would not have bent, but not sure on the shuttle ts.
time will tell.
i just ordered some rage 2 inch cuts for turkey season.im excited to play with those

I got the grizztricks to fly perfect. They are now my tuning broadhead cause I know if they fly good anything else will :chuckle: the rages should fly good for you just make sure to get some extra rubber o rings.

havent used the shuttle t's, but a buddy did this year, and after he shot a cow I took his broadhead, and using a sharpener that has crossed ceramic sticks.. i put that curved shuttle blade back to shaving sharp with no problem.. the curved blades are harder to sharpen, but not impossible, and they are sturdy blades..
