Doublestar Will No Longer Sell Weapons to Law Enforcement in States Where Citizens Cannot Own the Same Weapons

http://gunssavelives.net/self-defense/doublestar-will-no-longer-sell-weapons-to-law-enforcement-in-states-where-citizens-cannot-own-the-same-weapons/

According to their Facebook Page, Doublestar (a large manufacturer or AR-15 style firearms) will no longer sell their firearms to law enforcement personnel in states where private citizens cannot own the same weapons.

Doublestar joing the ranks of LaRue Tactical and Olympic Arms who have made similar statements. Magpul has also taken a stand against gun control at the state level, telling Colorado lawmakers they will move their operations to another state if a proposed magazine ban is signed into law.

AR-15 maker ArmaLite has however said they will continue to sell to law enforcement in those states, going against most of the private gun industry.

The following was taken from Doublestar’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=606712272676138&id=160410807306289

Effective Immediately!!
Due to the recent changes in 2nd Amendment laws that are pending or currently enforced by states across the country, the J&T Family of Companies which includes J&T Distributing, DoubleStar Corp., Ace Limited, and the DoubleStar Training Academy has been forced to reassess our policies regarding government and law enforcement sales. Effective immediately, the J&T Family of Companies will be joining other manufacturers and distributors by ceasing sales of regulated items in states that have altered the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms.

The JTFOC will no longer sell prohibited items to law enforcement agencies or any government agencies in states, counties, cities, and municipalities that have enacted restrictive gun control laws against their law abiding citizens. We hope other companies will join us with their support. We applaud those already involved with this effort to protect our 2nd Amendment rights.

I think its right to treat law enforcement as equal to the civilians. They are in fact no better. They just have a different job. Thats all it is, in fact a job. No offense against any LEO officers in here, Its just how I feel.

Have Any More Gun Makers Stopped Selling To Anti-Gun States? (Hint: Yeah, Lots More)

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/20/have-any-more-gun-makers-stopped-selling-to-anti-2nd-amendment-states-oh-yeah-lots-more/

Here is a short summary- more info at the above link
Last Friday TheBlaze reported on a growing list of gun manufacturers and retailers who had stopped selling to law enforcement in states that were enacting stringent new gun laws.

Since that report, the initial list (seen below) has changed. However, none of the “big three” (Glock, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson) providers to law enforcement have stepped up and joined the companies who have chosen to take a public stand on the issue. In less than two weeks, at least 18 companies have made the decision to stop selling to law enforcement in states that limit a private citizen’s right to own a gun.

    Olympic Arms, Inc
    La Rue Tactical
    EFI, LLC – Extreme Firepower
    York Arms
    Templar Custom
    Cheaper Than Dirt
Joining the expanding group are:

    Bullwater Enterprises
    Westfork Armory
    Smith Enterprise
    Alex Arms
    Spike’s Tactical
    Quality Arms
    Liberty Suppressors
    Doublestar Corp
    American Spirit Arms
    Trident Armory
    Head Down Products
    J&G Sales
