Antelope plans in the air - looking for information to other areas

Ranch that we have hunted for the past four years is not having any hunters due to the drought last year and hit hard this season.  Area 30 was hit pretty hard from what was related to me.  Not a lot of public land in that area so hopefully my first choice comes in this year or might not be making the trip...  Glad I found out prior to putting in for the draw.  How some of you all that go each year, was your particular area hit hard by either drought or winter?

I am buying the special and putting in with a couple points for a chance at a top unit. If not I hope to draw my 2nd but it's still no sure thing.

Yea, thought about doing the special, but in reality, I could care a less about a huge buck as I am waiting a particular area.  Right now, only in it for the meat and the fun I have with my buddies from WVA.    If I can secure property real quickly, myself I will put in for just the doe tags this year unless I get drawn for my trophy spot!
