STOP the flood of useless gun control legislation

Copy and paste message or write your own:

This message and link to the video was received from Maryland Delegate Kevin Kelly.  Please watch the video.

“The following Video “link” SPEAKS VOLUMES.  The video is of Maryland Sheriffs, representing the 24 “Elected” Sheriffs of the Maryland Sheriffs’ Association (MSA), testifying in OPPOSITION to Gun Control Legislation and specifically in OPPOSITION to SB 281 / HB 294.  The video shows the “Elected” Sheriffs testifying at March 1, 2013 “Gun Control Hearings” conducted before the Maryland House of Delegates’ Judiciary Committee and the Maryland House of Delegates’ Health and Government Operations Committee.

The Maryland State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) representing over 23,000 active and retired Maryland State, County, Bi-County, Municipal and Federal, rank and file, Law Enforcement Officers has also taken a position of vehement OPPOSITION to Gun Control Legislation and specifically in OPPOSITION to SB 281 / HB 294. This position of FOP OPPOSITION also SPEAKS VOLUMES.”

I am asking you to STOP the flood of useless gun control legislation that is being pushed by anti-gun zealots.  All of the gun control legislation that has been introduced will do nothing to prevent criminals and madmen from committing their wicked acts of violence.  I am asking you to focus on the real issues that face our society.  This nation has cultural, mental health, gang, organized crime, and drug issues that contribute far more to outbreaks of violence.  In my opinion, you should be focusing on these issues, not burdening law-abiding citizens with more unneeded regulations that serve only to satisfy anti-gun agendas.

Imposing a barrage of useless gun-control regulations and laws onto law-abiding citizens will only serve to whittle away at our liberty, rights, and freedoms we have fought so hard to obtain and keep.

Sincerely,

 Done

Some wizard of wit should devise a mass mailer.

One that can be sent to everyone everywhere to cover every anti-gun/hunting bill written in every state with a message from all conservatives/rural folks/gun owners/hunters and patriots to enlighten the culture of entrenched cowardice where epaulets of honor and integrity were displaced by aberrant deviance and instill the notion it is no longer acceptable behavior to continue down this path or the wrath of every old crusty person in America will make it our mission in life to aggravate every dam one of em till the end of time.

Or maybe just send a kick-in-the-nuts singing telegram to everyone in congress to get their attention.

I'd throw money in the hat just to watch that.

"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

I agree.  The links to the sporting organizations have these mass mailing tools; we should use them until something better comes our way.  I have been using them for the majority of my communications to the State and Federal Representatives, including the President.  Sending emails to the Committees takes a little more effort because we need to determine who the Committee members are then list their emails addresses for the copy and paste method.

The biggest help in our efforts is for all of the people that see the original messages and act on them should urge their family, friends, and colleagues to do the same.  This is the only way we can get large numbers of people to get involved.  It takes each one of us to get as many other people engaged as we possibly can.

Our rights and freedoms are under attack; every hunter and gun owner absolutely must be involved.

FYI - There is software that I considered getting for this site, but the cheapest I could find was $500 per year. I don't think we have enough people taking action to justify the cost. Maybe we would get more people doing it if we had the software?  :dunno:

Wished I knew someone who could write the program so we could do our own and it would not cost every year to have it.
