Where did you get the supplies?

- Need a grid around the film in the water so it doesnt expand too much distorting the film (say 1" of space
- use an air sprayer to atomize the activator and make it an even coat, make sure it expands evenly
- dont forget to dip at an angle
- on the base coat, let it dry at least a few hours before dipping
- its not as easy as it looks, so get extra material to practice.

I got mine from hydrographics, but I think my next order will be from diydipkit as everything comes in spray cans to make it easier. The activator I got comes in a can, so you need a gun to shoot it.

Try a Prevail sprayer from the hardware store, Home Depot has them. Pour the activator in the bottle & attach the spray bottle and you have a spray can. Should work for ya.

Im an autobody guy, so I have spray guns and all that stuff already, so it didnt cost me anything extra. Just trying to find more stuff to dip now, haha.

what materials can be dipped? Plastics, metal, wood?

Also, what if you screw up a gun stock? Redo possible?

Anything, your supposed to scuff and prime the part, but Ive had it stick to unpainted stuff ok.

Parts I screwed up I used thinner and removed the dip and the primer, so its a start over.
