scary... It also reinforces the fact that some level of cooperation by the citizen is necessary to make this happen. Stand your ground at your home, require a warrant, only go with the police if you are under arrest. NEVER go to the police department to "answer some questions"!  There are MANY psychological reasons why police use certain phrases and "ask" you to do things in a certain way.... If they have to "ask" the answer is NO!

I am a bit skeptical. I can't find this story on any of the big news sites including fox news. I don't doubt that it happened but I am skeptical that theblaze has all the facts. If I were wrongly accused of making the types of threats detailed in the story I would be telling anyone that would listen including fox news. I would also be demanding an investigation into whoever called 911 for filing a false police report, since I am pretty sure that is illegal. I would also be trying to find out if I could sue for libel or slander.

I think it is likely that one or both parties mentioned in the article are leaving out details and/or lying.

Fox prolly wouldn't touch it anyhows. Fox used to be the conservitive view point and report things the liberal media wouldn't, but any more they're just as bad.
My take on it is people with agendas' will say anything to get us disarmed. That's the problem too too many people aren't willing to beleive that the Gov has it's own agenda, and that because it's not on NBC or one of the other more affiliated news networks it has to be fake. No wonder weve allowed our liberty's to disapear kind of sad really.

Oh, I don't doubt that there are people in our government working to strip us of our rights. I just don't take any article that is posted here at face value, if I can't verify it through multiple "reputable" sources. (not that any of our media outlets are all that trustworthy anyways but IMHO it's worth the effort to at least *try* to fact check these things.) Especially articles from theblaze, as if I recall correctly several articles from there that have been posted on this forum have been found to be not entirely true, and/or outdated information re-posted to generate alarm.

 I read both sides of the media. If you look at things from only one perspective then you become programmed and closed minded. Not saying that you are but for me I have to keep a fresh prospective.

I merely said I am very suspicious, didn't say I don't consider them. Heck, I've been an avid Drudge reader since 2000 and still question some of the linked articles.
