Communicating with Cantwell and Murray about Gun Control - Change the Tone

There are a lot of resources out there for us to send canned letters to our congressmen and women regarding specific bills and other legislation. We need to change the wording when they're going to Cantwell and Murray, in my opinion. When sending them an email or letter regarding a gun control initiative, we should acknowledge their anti-2nd Amendment stances and their willingness to make our rights lesser while they continue to make the government bigger. There are a few key points that we should be hitting on when we write these two, especially.

1. You are a voting constituent
2. Senators are servants of the people of WA
3. They've sworn to uphold the US and WA Constitutions, not undermine them or change them
4. You're watching them and will take notice when they vote against our rights
5. 330 Million Americans did NOT abuse their 2nd Amendment rights last year
6. None of the gun control measures which they've supported would have stopped ANY of the recent gun violence occurrences
7. The 2nd Amendment was written to enable every US citizen to protect themselves and others against individuals who would harm us and from the possibility of tyranny by our government and leaders. When you say, "you don't need an AR to hunt", you miss the point. The 2nd Amendment isn't about hunting.
8. Women and minorities are further exposed to violence in the face of gun control laws
9. The AR 15 is an excellent home defense firearm, especially safer than a shotgun for use by women
10. Criminals will never pay attention to new laws, no matter how many you pass restricting our rights
11. If you're really serious about making us safer, do something about the 12-14 million illegal aliens in this country, responsible for a large number of violent and property crimes each year.

We need to pound these ideas home to them. We need the tone of our voices to be stern and unyielding. We need them to understand that what they're doing isn't right and we won't sit by and ignore their actions.

Yes, I hate their canned replies and their politics. However, the more they hear from us and how we feel, the more they'll pay attention. So far, most of what they see is the unchanging canned emails. When we change them up and address their actions specifically, they'll take greater notice. They're still my senators and I won't let them forget that.

Screw luck. The only way to get their attention is continuing to write and changing the tone of what we write. If you give up and they no longer hear your voice, they'll only listen to the sheep who support their views. You have to write regardless of whether or not you think it has impact. It makes me throw up in my mouth a little every time I have to, but I still do.

I am adamant about adding they took an oath to support & defend the Constitution. Should start adding it's treason & you should be fired or in jail. These are the domestic enemies oathed by armed forces.

It's a waste of time contacting these two.  They want bigger government and they want more gun control. Just look at there voting record.  They are representing the majority that voted for them.

Peppermint Patty has stated numerous times that she wants the Brady Bill back and with even more restrictions.  She doe exactly what her ultra liberal $$ supporters or her messiah Obama tells her.

When the only voices they hear are supporters who like big government, freebies, and no rights, then they get to say that. When they hear from us, they know and must at least consider that some of their constituents disagree with their stands. We must continue to write them, regardless of how futile it feels.
