Going on my 3rd year.
« on: March 14, 2013, 09:27:24 PM »
Bones hitting the ground now by Elk and going to put some miles in looking for them.  4 years ago I'd have said you all are a bunch of nutty fools looking for sheds, now after two years of shedding and this being the third I've got the fever, and literally been at every weekend since mid Jan.  My family thinks I'm nuts, wife included..  maybe I am!  Here's two years of shedding, most my deer, and just my fresh Elk.  Got them all out to tag and date them while I remember the dates, and it gets too out of hand.  Plan to double up on Elk this year.  Good luck guys, we're coming east this year.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

That's a pretty weak pile of horns.  You need to get after it a little more!  :chuckle:

I'd probably find a few more if you'd let a few slip through the cracks bud.   :chuckle:

I love seeing people's collections, met a guy off here this year who likes to remain silent about what he finds.  He invited me to come see his collection, and I was more than impressed.  Could spend hours in his shop digging through and looking at antlers.  There is a few other guys on here I'd like to see their collections.  Doesn't have to be the biggest to impress me either, seen one deer shed that every tine was twisted like a corkscrew, coolest thing I've ever seen when it comes to antlers.
