White muzzleloaders?
« on: March 22, 2013, 06:28:06 PM »
I know they're out of business, but I got a lead on a NIB whitetail. Anybody ever run one? Are they as good as some folks say? Thanks

I have a couple friends that have a few and I have shot them.  Accurate and fun guns to shoot.

I ended going with Knight because parts are available and both of mine are just as accurate if not more then those two Whites.

If I came across a deal on one I might buy one.  Not sure...  I don't think you would be disappointed with it if you don't overpay.

Whites kind of set the standard in conical shooting muzzleloaders.  They also shoot sabots very well.  They are built like a tank and just keep on working...

The technology is old by todays standards but they still do the job for a lot of people..

This my Whitetail... in case you have not seen one..

I found a .451 White Super 91 stainless with a pillar bedded Bell & Carlson thumb hole stock two years ago. Replaced the scope with the factory rear Lyman peep sight which is 1/4" click adjustable for windage and elevation. Installed my favorite Lyman globe sight with steel crosshairs on the front. I shot 80 grains FFF T7 with a No Excuses 460 grain bullet. Shoots awesome! Opening day first shot last year was at 234 yards. Buy it if you have the chance!

I have more than a dozen Whites in the safe I would not hesitate to buy it. NIB is it a G series or a Model 97? White shoots conicals better than any other BP rifle I have shot. They really don't wear out, Breach Plugs are available as are many other parts. Buy it you wont be sorry!!
Smoke em when ya see em!
