Couple of old picture
« on: March 23, 2013, 07:47:44 AM »
These are from erly 70's in Utah-good old days when we used to get a couple of these every year. I have no idea what they'd score, did'nt matter to us then.

Nephew sent me another from the same basic time period-opening day take. Not a great picture.  All are of my brothers and myself.

Look at the backs on the 4 point, holy cow. Been told stories of the old timers cutting the antlers off 7 and 8 point bulls in the blues to get the weight off the horses. Back then it was all about the meat. Would love to hunt those days.

He should title that second picture "long may you run"- looks just like Neil Young and Stephen Stills standing there.

Cool pics though, and great deer!

It still is for some! Cant eat antler but cant say I would cut them off to lighten the load! Thats just crazyness. Very neat pics! I also wished I would have been able to experience those times.

Awesome! And I was also reminded somehow of Neil Young and maybe his best album (Harvest).
