hey Mark! yes i agree, i like steel but will quickly trade steel for salmon, and have done it too, use to trade with the old member "Olaf" occasionally
BTW the foster daughter is still lovin that rod you gave her, shes used it well, for 2 seasons now going on 3, matter of fact she just re-spooled the reel on it and got it all cleaned out and re-greased and ready for this season, many thanks again brother
