Sis does for sure have pancreatic cancer at 57
« on: September 08, 2008, 08:20:53 AM »
I talked to her yesterday, they kept her in the hospital longer then expected.Clipped a nerve to stop the back pain and a pump for home. She's not bed ridden yet, I never ask her about time or if she was going to try some kind of treatment

She asked some relatives to leave, told them she didn't have a lot of time left and didn't want to spend it talking to people she didn't like. She said people coming and hanging around just to snoop or find something to make a big deal out of.
She put her daughter 22 years as a bouncer, greeter, and phone operator that took care of most the looky louse.
That should give them plenty to talk about for years.
I think it's great she has this attitude and relatives need to call before dropping in. Sheet Fire she's sick and needs her rest.
I think at some time we all wished people would go home but hate to say please go away and don't come back, well she did it

Tough stuff. My best friend and cousin passed this Veteren's Day from pancreatic cancer. He had it for maybe six months. Sorry friend.

Thanks guys, I'm so afraid of saying she's done for. I always hold out a little, well very little that she'll pull thru. MTWalk 338 about how long should hope for her not being bed ridden?

 Love
You know I'm all talk and if someone else talked to you the way I do,it wouldn't make me happy at all. We know each other well enough to do so. And I do value you as a special friend. I didn't mean short bus special.

Well, he got real sick at about 5 months, when it hurt to move about. Before hand, he was active as much as he could, but lost weight rapidly. He got some sort of liver stint? and it helped him some.

Sis took a turn for the worse just as soon as she had everything scheduled so her husband wouldn't have to do it.Looks like she's had this stuff for a while.

Tank, a bit unclear above. Is your sister still fighting this? I hope so! If there is anything that I can do to help, please just ask.

Sorry to hear that Tank  :( My grandmother passed away in 1977 of pancreatic cancer at the age of 57. I can remember it like it was yesterday and I was 12 , very painful for her.

My prayers are with you and your family

Thank you guys
Sorry about the last post, I read it and it confused me.
Not she's not fighting it, just taking pain meds and waiting it out.
I meant to say she has everything schedule after she dies.
Funeral, dinner, and all the things we hate to do because we're in mourning.Has the dinner set up at the local church. After all that I guess she figured that's it.Bed ridden the next day.Hope she makes a rebound then again if she want's to go I understand.

Guy,

I haven't been around much lately.I've been working on getting the duck shack ready for hunting
I did find a wiring short I hope it's the only one.Was way back so I had to belly crawl but it was worth it,I touched the ground probe and the metal on the on the shack and the meter said 119v  I told you I was getting shocked but I didn't know it was that much.

Sis got everything prepared for her death funeral arangements, up to the meal afterwards, even wrote her OB for the paper. Then she shut down, took less then two days.
Doctor said she had a few months, hell she didn't have less then 3 weeks

Thank you Iceman.

I'm sorry to hear that.  It must take a lot of courage to arrange everything for your own funeral, including writing your own OB.  I think if I had the opportunity for that, I'd throw a hell of a party for myself.  Your sister sounds like she was tough as nails, and kind and emotionally strong in order to stand there and do that for your family.

Really sad deal.
