Special permit question
« on: April 01, 2013, 09:59:17 AM »
If I apply and draw for a special permit for elk in antlerless, in winston for example, does that mean I can go take a cow down there, and still hunt the general season?  or does that mean that's the only place I can hunt? Or can I still hunt general, but only use 1 tag, either the first animal I take on general, or the cow tag?  What if the tag is for like, december or Jan, or Feb?  If I hunt general season successfully, would I then forfeit my cow tag?  Thanks!

You get 1 tag. Use it as you wish.

Once you fill it, you're done.

If you fill youre tag during general season your special permit is no good as you can only shoot 1 elk a year. Your permit just gives you a special opportunity other than the general season.

It is a special "permit", not a special "tag".
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.
