Boat Help
« on: April 02, 2013, 03:18:23 PM »
We are looking at getting a new boat. Looking at  nitro 290 sport.  Any thoughts?  Anyone have one? We want a good fishing boat and boat to pull kids and ski.

Great looking boat.how much room do you have to move around inside for fishing?I have found that most play boats dont make good fishing boats.allways leaning over another seat lol. :twocents: Is that a trolling motor allready mounted? and is that an open bow?might have more room than most.

It's a Nitro. It was made to fish first. Should be 4 pedestal seat which the back 2 can be removed. Open shallow bow easy to stand and run the bow mount. Built more like a walleye boat.

It has 4  seats in the back but 2 fold down and between them is a large live well. The two pedestal seats in back can be removed and mou ted in the front and upper back right behind the live well. The front is open but has pads so you can seat two additional people. Has  225 outboard engine. And storage for poles life bait etc....has a trolling motor  mounted for foot pedal use but we would upgrade to an i pilot. Has a fishfinder but we would upgrsde to gps. Anyone have one of these?

I've got a Nitro, but it's a straight bass platform. I made upgrades, like two GPS units, went to 24V trolling motor, custom color and a few minor things. No complaints here.
