Called this one right up to the truck, three times. He even went under the truck, while it was running. No fear, on his part, glad I was in the truck! I thought for phone pic's they turned out pretty good.....

We saw one in the alkali one time deer hunting, followed him untill he got tired of us then he turned around and wanted to chew some azz. We left him alone at that point, it looks like your in the alkali? I wish we could have shot him, nice looking animals.

I've never seen one. But my wife saw one in the road in front of the house years ago, I  was golden. She called our wildlife biologist to ask what it was. He told her it was a gold badger, pretty rare!

Hilltop, those are great photographs (amazing what a mobile phone can do these days!).  Growing up in the Tri-Cities, I never imagined that badgers really existed.  One of the significant hills in town is called Badger Mountain, but I never believed that these animals were around.  Proof is in the picture--if this creature is in GMU 371, then there is no reason to believe that they aren't in the Tri-Cities as well.  I have learned something new today, and I thank you for that.

Lip sqeakes, sounds like a mice sqeak, only louder..........PD you have them in the city limits down there, you can bet on it.

Cool pics, I've seen some that act very aggressive, most run away, yet others don't care one way or another what you do.  Thanks for sharing the pics.

Ive seen 2 in the city limits of the tri-cities and many more within 30 miles.

Looks to me like you were lucky to be in your truck and not in open ground.  The sage doesn't look like you can climb them very well.
