You have to buy a specifically made one to match your particular weapon you want to put it in?Timney triggers are a trigger system actually that replaces the whole trigger assembly in most rifles, some are replacement springs and some are just the trigger. Really its about how the trigger functions for that particular firearm. They make them for everything from the Arisaka to Winchester... Also have an archery release. Can check them out here... http://timneytriggers.com/

What if I like a little creep? do they actually mean 'slop'? If I got one, it would be for my Ruger M77, which has a very big and blocky trigger, and its not too crisp. But I do like a little creep.
The ruger trigger is a POS compared to a Timney. I put on in my M77 and it went from pulling a truck to breaking nice and smooth.

Me three, I love my Rugers but the triggers were 7+lbs and I hated them. Have Timneys on all of them now and it made great rifles even better.I've come to the conclusion that Ruger puts those heavy pull triggers on just to limit liability of accidental discharge, is that out of the realm of possibility?
