Out and about today and picked up a few items at garage sales. The reel is an old penn delmar 285. It has two ports to oil the reel. It's in great shape and for $15 couldn't pass it up. It had tons of dust and grime but it cleaned up well. As I was cleaning it I wondered about some of the big toads this thing may have brought in or some of the cool stories it could tell. Then I came upon this old solid fiberglass rod for $2. Had to have it. The eyes and thread are in great shape. The pole is a two piece that comes apart just above the reel. I have never seen that before . Here they are together. I thought all in all its a good deal.
