Set up my game cam in reprod

Anyone ever tried this? I found a nice little bench on a really steep reprod with lots of sign. Figured I would give it a shot..Not sure if the animals have too many options of travel routes in the reprod apposed to a heavy used trail.. Its tough finding a spot to put a game cam on public land because allot of the main deer/elk travel routes are close to logging roads or in spots where any good hunter would prob be scouting..

  Never done it myslef, however it is something That should work. the real question is, once you see a nice buck, how are you gona shoot it? Reprod is a pain to hunt.

Tree stands or ground blinfs....

And yes cameras in reprod work quite well...

Every time i have tired to hunt the "thick" reprod I usually jump deer going into to my spot. I guess when i think of reprod i visualise trees that aren't big enough for tree stands. Trees that are 15yr old and younger.

Cameras in reprod work great that's where I get most my pics the hard part for me is finding a good travel route in reprod that is a huntable location.

YA agreed. Tough to hunt that stuff. I just want to see whats in the area at this point. Ive seen one real nice thick 2x2 while scouting and lots of rubs.. Just wondering what else is in the area.

Reprod, or edges of reprod is where I set up 90% of my cameras. Unless you're in like 5+ square miles of reprod, the animals you pick up on the camera will be in other age classes of timber at some point - you don't have to hunt that exact spot (and it doesn't sound like you plan to).
