I have a 9 footer 4-8 pound light action i use for trout and love this rod. I bought mine at sportco about 8 years ago.. It was under 100 bucks if i remember right and is just as good as a loomis or any other high end rod! IMO!

Sportco and Outdoor Emporium should both have the Grigg 9' heavy rods. That is the only rod I have used for 20 years on keeper size sturgeon in the Lower Columbia. Best fish so far on the 9' 20 - 50 rod is a 96" fish. I have a couple of them that have 2,000 fish landed on them.
