Crazy!! Didn't expect that to happen anytime soon. Wish he got that pic!
The cop, om duty or not, does not have the authority to tell you what you can take a picture of, or not.  That has been through the courts...if it had been me I would have taken a picture of the wolf first, and then the cop.

I just got a phone call from my brother as he was traveling through Post falls and he saw a wolf that was hit on I 90.
I am from Post Falls so this is concerning of course. There is very few locations where a Wolf could make it through to I-90 without going through a populated area... only area is right around the back side of the falls. Did he mention where on I-90 he saw it?

alpha female...alpha female...alpha female...alpha female  8)
When the alpha female is killed many other females breed that she wouldn't have let. At least that's how I understand it.

I've heard that will be the case if it happens right before breeding season.  But that should have happened a couple months ago.  They are getting ready for pups soon.  So there should be a new alpha female by next breeding season and no pups for this year for that pack.

I just got a phone call from my brother as he was traveling through Post falls and he saw a wolf that was hit on I 90. He pulled over to confirm and was going to take a picture but an off duty police officer would not allow him to take a picture. I wish my brother would have snapped the photo . Oh and yes my brother does know the difference between  a coyote and a wolf.

"Oh and yes my brother does know the difference between  a coyote and a wolf."

Just not his rights as an American!

Tell your brother not to be bullied by off duty or on duty anybody. Come on people!

Really? Maybe it is that he was taught to respect authority whether on or off duty. I guarantee you he was not bullied. Sounds like another *censored* starter!!!!!!!!

The sheeple have spoken.

He's a sheeple because he respects law enforcement officers?
Man, some of you guys' opinions on stuff will never cease to amaze me.

Hopefully you would have captured the moment he was writing you a ticket for stopping on the freeway when you're not supposed to.

LMAO :chuckle:

Honestly, who really cares that a wolf was hit on the interstate?  In the grand scheme of things it's insignificant.  It's certainly not getting a $140 ticket over for stopping on the interstate.  Of course, one could always start the camera on their I-phone and scream about their rights as they are getting arrested for obstructing an officer. :o

two summers ago just east of Lookout pass in Montana i saw one eating on a dead deer west bound side of road in the ditch, thought it was a black bear untill it moved around for better bite of food. I would have stopped and got pictures if i had been on west side.

Now that's just funny.

Meanwhile, be careful what kind of advice you take from internet lawyers about "asserting your rights".   That's how people learn expensive lessons.
