To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

How many people are you feeding? Are you going to make all five pounds?

A real good option is to take your favorite crab cake recipe and substitute shrimp.

Or pasta. For example, tonight I'm cooking the girlfriend steamed mussels, clams and shrimp tossed in olive oil, garlic, cherry tomatoes, Italian parsley, onion and crushed red pepper.

But my very favorite way to have shrimp is to lightly coat them in salt, pepper and olive oil and put them on a cookie sheet in one layer and bake at 400F for 9 minutes.

Cocktail Sauce
mix gently in bowl with fork
.5C ketchup
.5C chili sauce
3 tbsp horseradish sauce
half a lemon juiced
.5 tsp Worcestershire sauce
.5 tsp hot sauce (I like Tapatio)

Chop up onions, Throw them in a pan with 1/4 stick of butter, alittle chili powder, fry the onions for about 5 minutes, then toss shrimp in untill done. Drain. Delicious. Great for your heart.
