Any preference/recommendations for bowtech assassin
« on: April 17, 2013, 08:39:45 PM »
Hey guys,

I know it's been a while since i was last on, but i'm here now.  :sry:
so I ordered my Bowtech Assassin from the pro-shop in belfair last week, and so far i've heard nothing but questions on what sight, rest, stabilizer, ect i was going to put on it. Now, call me cheap or just wrong if you like but I thought the R.A.K. package was alright.

So my question is What do those of you shooting(or have shot) the Assassin think about the included gear?

and If you absolutely hated it, why and what did you replace it with.

P.S. i know most of you will say, get out there and try some gear out, or it's completely personal preference. I KNOW and i will. I just want to hear some thoughts.

so did you just want new gear or was the R.A.K. just awful?

The Rak is really light, I am going to stick with it for a while, Im shooting really well with it. My only complaint is the 4 pin sight, the bow shoots really fast and I feel like I could use a couple more pins for 60 and 70 yards. But I may be moving to Maine next year and wont need that kind of yardage hunting there anyway.

The Assassin is a good bow for the money.  My friend shoots a Heartbreaker/Assassin SD and he's happy with it.  I would recommend changing the rest to a better dropaway rest though.  Other than that, change what you don't like.
