Radsav,

I like your artwork on this, yet as I am not a bow hunter (yet), I'd like to honor Aaron too in some form this year. What about this idea:

The logo you designed might be a good fit as a decal for Hunt-WA members to purchase and post on our vehicles. It would be interesting to see how many pickups we would see around the state with those decals.

Isn't there a member here on the forum that designs Hunt-WA decals?

Not sure :dunno:  Once I do a little more work on the font so it will stand out in miniature I'll have this available as a vector file.  I figure once completed I will give the file to BLRman.  He can distribute it as he wishes.  I would be uncomfortable doing anything more with it than what I already discussed with him.  I figure it will be a very personal thing to him and his family so I just prefer to stay out of it beyond what I've mentioned unless he request me to do more.  I'm not even sure RAD or myself should be the ones to distribute them.  That might be better handled by the family or a representative of the family as well.  I'll have that discussion with Karl in the weeks to come.  Need to get all the ground work done first.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Josh,   after our phone conversation this morning  I decided to offer for auction a $500 discount on any service we offer.  I know this auction will run for some time. Likely the purchaser will be someone that draws a Quality tag for the Tucannon or the Wenahas.  I charge $500 to pack a  bull for a non booked client,  the other options to use as $500 credit towards a drop or guided camp.  Also there is a consideration of a summer trip for families.  I know you will get the wording right for the bidders consideration.  You might consider holding this for a later date.

Probably the wrong place to post this but, after getting approval from BLRman I am in the works to have a custom logo printed on Aaron's favorite Blaze and Yellow Blazer vanes.  Haven't gotten the quotes in yet from Bohning and AAE, but our hope is we can give away enough vanes to each archer who donates or enters the Joshua Cup to fletch at least a dozen arrows.  Sort of a "Take the memory of Colockumelk hunting with you this year" type of thing.  Wouldn't it be cool if every bowhunter you ran into in Washington this season was shooting two orange and one yellow vane with a Colockumelk logo on it?

Still working on a logo that will fit the limited space.  But this is what I am thinking...

Awesome idea. I'll buy a few if it happens for sure. Could sell for $5 a pop and get some good $ for the Blanchard family!

Send Kain a PM. He did one for me that came out really nice.

If we can not get the timing to work out on the vanes we might try the same idea with a patch of some sort.

Jackelope and boneaddict have done an awesome job with the fundraisers, thanks so very much guys. The showing of support by the entire H-W community is nothing short of amazing. However, I do think it's time for H-W to finish the auctions for all the donations we have already received.

As soon as Jackelope knows when he'll be finished with the auctions for Aarons fundraiser we will post in this topic so that anyone else who wanted to donate to the family and hasn't done so can put their own auction in the classifieds and donate the proceeds to the Joshua Fund which will be accepting donations for Aaron Blanchard's family for several more months. Please contact boneaddict with any additional cash donations you may have for that fund.

The memorial wreath fund was also a huge success. Yesterday I ordered the flowers, I asked for something extra special that a year from now they will remember as being one of the nicest arrangements they've done. The freestanding arrangement will have red, white, and blue flowers with ribbons of the same color, the patriotic theme is fitting of Aaron. The lady will send a photo and final billing after it's been completed, I'll post the photo of the arrangement and forward all remaining funds to the Joshua Fund for Aaron's family.

Thanks to the entire H-W membership for your tremendous show of support for Aaron and his family, you are all amazing people.   :IBCOOL: :hello:
