They are definitely out there. I know if a few being seen as well as one being shot by a member in here. Keep plugging away and find some sign. Once you've found good sign stick to that area and be persistent.

The bear are there, try walking the old grades.  There not leaving a ton of sign yet, they just started peeling pretty hard so it will start to get easier to locate them.

I had this tag a couple years ago and hunted quite a bit early and didn't see much sign or any bear.  Then was working 70+ hours a week in May so I pissed the peak time.  I went out twice at the end of the season and saw sign everywhere but didn't see a bear till my drive out in the dark the last night of the season.  The bears really start to move and get active in this unit somewhere around the first or second week of May so you really need to spend your time then as early can be difficult although I do know some see a few bears early. If you hunt hard and walk roads you will see them.  If you just road hunt you may not.
Take your kids into the outdoors. They are our future. Support conservation by joining and participating in future through NRA, SCI, RMEF, Wild Sheep or any of the other great organizations.
