Was reading the thread on long range shooting here and thought you all might like to see our home made deer target for in the field practice. Don't want to get another argument about 50 vs 500, this is what we like to do to practice, know our equipments limitations and have fun.
We made this with all junk we had laying around or out of others junk pile. It was a sheet of rusty 1/4" plate steel & a piece of ar steel for the vitals. The unit we shoot in can stretch as far as 800 yds and is a dead end. No benchrests just bi-pods in the dirt. Let us know what you think of our work and share what you all use for in the field practice.
