I had a yote keep trying to get my scotty when I lived in unincorporated Gig Harbor. I bought a little squeaky thing that was supposed to sound like a rabbit in distress and called it in one night and shot him with my 9mm from about 20 yards.

I left the head in the field as a message to the other coyotes.

the coyote packs in the area around orting like to run a single one in to antagonize pets into chasing them then the pack attacks in an ambush.  I've shot a few and left their carcasses on display seems to keep the others away for awhile.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3

They used to get coyotes for bounty by putting a triple hook with chicken guts  on the hook attached with wire so it hung about 2 feet above the ground it worked but they made it illegal.

More likely than not, the others come back and eat the carcass.

I have been using chicken leg quarters for bait hanging in front of a motion detector to alert me if something comes around.  Maybe they are just after fawns right now?

You need to kill that sucker. We have them around here and I have shot many out of my back yard. We have 2 like yours and they only go outside on long leashes at night. I would suggest you keep him on a leash and keep him close. Not worth loosing your dog. Keep a gun handy and be ready for him.

Small hole in the ground but large enough to put a bucket in. Zip tie a grate on the top of the bucket that's filled with scraps of food. Drop bucket in the hole.. He (THEY) will come to the smell..Stay down wind and a crossbow is exactly the ticket.

Nice idea on the bucket in the hole.  That will hopefully make all these coons go away if they never get a free meal.

Well after thinking the yote had moved on to another area we have quite honestly let our guard down for the past few months and have gone back to letting the dogs wonder the property at will.  I don't let them go into the woods but other than that we were not being very careful.  Last night my son was taking the dogs out before going to bed.  There was lots of thunder from a storm coming through so my son wasn't surprised that ol Lou was growling, barking and would not come off the porch.  When he went to pick Lou up to make him go to the grass lightning lit up the yard and there that SOB was on the edge of the woods staring right at them.  This yote is giving up the ghost come hell or high water.  I'm putting trail cams back up tomorrow and my son and I are going to hunt him until he's dead.  I will post pics of his dead carcass asap...

Its a little late now, but you can hunt coyotes at night with artificial light, except during months of Sept, Oct and Nov.

When did the artificial light rule take effect? Is it any artificial light period? Or any light with a power source plugged into a vehicle?
