Schrade USA 497...

Just picked up a Schrade USA 497, with 49er on the sheath. Butt marks are an anvil and a shield. Near as I can figure, it's 70's, and one of the first in the 49er series that ran for several years, but not the rarest.

I sure like this knife.

Wanted to find out if anybody knew about it, value, etc.

I'm thinking about copying it, and selling it as an old/new set, selling it as-is, or keeping it as my personal carry knife since I like vintage knives.

Anyone know this knife?

Looks like ebay has a few complete, and a few just knives/sheaths like this one. (schrade 49ers)

Nice.  I have an old Schrade hawks bill on my belt most days.  Good old knife for farm work.
