South end get together
« on: May 30, 2013, 08:42:44 AM »
Well I've noticed the north end guys have got a pretty good size get together planned, unfortunately its a bit of a drive for me and I will be out of town as well. So how about a south end get together? I'd like to meet some of you guys and maybe get some new hunting/fishing partners out of it. Good huntin buddies are are to come by around here.

What do you guys think? I'm out of Shelton but Olympia area may be more central for a lot of guys, I'll gladly volunteer my place though.

Olympia's a bit of a drive depending on the day and time, but I'd be up for a get together.
I'm in Lake Tapps area.

I'll take that as a compliment Billy

We did a get together for a fishing forum last year in Nisqually, that was a good place to meet as far as location, but Billdo wouldn't quite be old enough  :chuckle:

Depending on the date, I might be in and could bring a couple other members with me.  I'm in Rainier but frequent Shelton (Kamilche).

The weekend of June 22nd would work for me as long as its an evening deal. Friday or Saturday... still no location as I don't know where everyone would be coming from. Nisqually still seems like a decent spot.

Hey there Sirmisalot!
I am in if you have it a different day than the 22nd.  I am always wanting to talk to the Mt St Helens and Panhandle Lake Backcountry hunters!

I am taking part in the Seattle Rock and Roll half marathon the morning of the 22nd and the Olympia Mule Deer Banquet later that day.  Sunday is free though.

Too soon.  July would be better IMO.

Date depending I would be interested in coming out.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3

Sounds good, I was just up that way this weekend looking at the giant waterfall coming from panhandle, gonna be a couple more weeks until we can make it to the top.

Sounds like that weekend won't work so it will have to be later in July for me. The weekend if the 13th is currently looking ok for me.

Here's a picture from the weekend bluesdude

Great photo! so you must be able to take the 26 to the 2612 and over green river to the TH?

Not as much snow as I thought.  We were just on the other side to Snow Lake from the Coldwater Lake TH 2 weeks ago.

Yeah it really wasn't much snow we were contemplating going up the hunters trail but as steep as it is we opted out, will give it a try soon.

Yes we took the 26 to the 2612, the gate just past the 2612 intersection was closed as well, just fyi.
