Made our annual trek into the Bob Marshall. Had a blast shooting gophers, fishing, and finding bone!!

7 of us packed in on horse back about 20 miles. The larges set of sheds was a 370" match set found by my buddies wife. Yes, this was her first shed she has ever found. She found them all by herself. Needless to say she is hooked.

Pic doesn't do it justice. Beams are 54", swards are 22"

We never saw another person the whole trip. It was a little work cutting out the train on the way in. We left a lot of older sheds that were not worth the hassle of packing out 20 miles.

I put a hurting on the gophers, I took 300 rounds of .223 and used them all.  :chuckle: :chuckle: Soooooo much fun.

Saw lots of elk and deer. They looked to be in good shape from the mild winter. Wish I would have brought my rifle, saw 7 or 8 good black bears. Will have that arranged for next year.

Can't wait to get back in there this summer and fall. The fishing was pretty awesome. Big old cutthroat every cast. YES, every cast!!!

Between the sheds, gophers, and fishing it is one of my favorite trips of the year.

Here is a muley I found, lion had just got him that morning. He wasn't even stiff yet. Wish I had a trail cam to put on it.

Aren't trail cameras illegal to use in Montana? I have always wanted to come across a kill like that when setting one of my cameras so I could try to get some cool pictures. Nice sheds by the way. We went on an elk hunt in the Bob a few years ago and it is some of the most beautiful country I have ever laid my eyes on!
