I'd rather eat the tag than shoot some of the bucks I've seen come out of there. It's not the guaranteed big buck tag some people think it is.

Interesting comments. I live over here and we hunt Yotes all over, specifically near Moses. We counted almost 50 BIG Bucks in one night in the desert, and it honestly they seemed they got bigger and bigger with every group we saw. No joke we counted almost 80 deer in one area. Alot of tall nice wide racks.
Is it waterfowl season yet..............

Not much experience with this unit, but I imagine it's like any other that has large amounts of private land.  Once the first shot is fired on opening day, the older, smarter deer generally retreat to the private ground where there is less activity.  They may venture off in the pitch dark, but probably lay low during the daylight hours. I imagine the rut gets them cruising again, but aside from that I would guess that a lot of the better bucks out there are on private land during when there is hunting activity.  :dunno:

Maybe people draw it and think it's going to be easy. They then realize youv'e got to hike your ass off in the dunes, and maybe they don't give it a good effort. Or, they hold out for bigger bucks, and it just doesn't happen for them.
