WSP Trooper O'connell
« on: June 05, 2013, 08:35:19 PM »
I dont believe anything has been posted about this so sorry if I am double posting something but just wanted to give a heads up that tomorrow is the memorial service for Trooper O'connell who was killed last week 5/31/13 while directing traffic up in conway. Trooper O'connell was a great guy and a great dedicated Trooper. I work in LE and had many interactions with him at my Dept and he was always a class act. Anyway just wanted to give a heads up that tomorrow's traffic from Island Crossing to Everett ave will be pretty tied up for his procession. I will be attending and hopefully will get some pictures and video. Officer Funerals are never fun or exciting as we mourn our lost brothers/sisters in this line of work. If anyone is able to attend that would be great as its open to the public. Here is a link for more info on tomorrows memorial. Thanks guys!

He was a close friend of one of my buddies. My prayers go out to his family and the LE family he left behind. Very tragic.

Very sad tragedy. Prayers out to his family and his L.E. brothers and sisters.

I was hoping to attend but couldn't get off work. One of my good friends who is a trooper had lunch with Sean a few hours before he was killed. He said he was having a really tough time coming to terms with it. RIP Sean.
