Best grouping yet. Blind!

So today I was putting in alittle practice, Im quite impressed with myself up to this point. 50 Yard grouping, from my knees, Inside a ground blind, With slight wind to the left. Tried to compensate for it just a tiny bit and this is what I got.  I think I'm ready to at-least tag a doe this year. 3rd Photo is looking from the arrow's prospective back to the blind near the tree.
Last photo is of the mesh netting inside the blind. I shot through it because Ive been told they were "shoot through screens" But I dont think Im going to do it anymore.
The blinds alittle beat up, was passed down to me from my girl's step-father. But Its only been used once and alittle patching here and there and It should be good to go and somewhat waterproof.

Anyone have experience with blinds? This is a *Ameristep* pack in dogblind. I think is what its called.

Any tips on masking scent, Setting out in locations to establish animal/blind familiarity to decrease them being spooked, Additional camouflage, Waterproofing, Direction of placement to shooting lanes, etc.. Would be very much appreciated. I have a treestand also, Just want to cover all grounds so I can have my options via locations. 



Now, to just push out to 70 yards.

i haven't had an issue with scent in a blind.  had deer all the way around and as close as 6 feet.  but a little vanilla in a spray bottle isn't a bad idea...

"Ameristep" doghouse blind is what that is. Same one I've got, and I got it because it was cheap. I like it, keeps me dry and it's easy to set up. My 13 year old cousin shot his first buck out of it last year. Only issue is it seems a little tight for shooting a bow. I drew back inside mine and my elbow was pushing against the back of the blind. It will work but there's just not any extra room.

 I've got the same set up. It's easy to put up with a flip of the wrist but taking it down the first time I dang near gave up! That thing is really hard to get to collapse the first couple of times til I got the hang of it. It's really light (12 lbs) so it's easy to pack some of your other blind accessaries with it.  I used it for turkey mostly but after Bobcat's comments I'm thinking I better see how well I can shoot my bow in it.

Thats exactly what was happening to me, not bad but enough to touch the back. Dont seem like a big deal to me right now, May on the field. Had to stick my arrows out the window alittle untill I drew back. Are you supposed to shoot through those mesh screens or no?

And another thing about that, anyone know any easy ways to patch the the metal rings that support it - Its broken in half "doesn't effect the way it stands though", From it sitting outside I think one was exposed and rusted through.

Nice grouping   If the broken metal ring doesnt effect the way is stands I wouldnt worrie about it.

Was my first time actually. I liked it. as long as I'm in there alone I don't think Ill have a problem with drawing the bow back.

Smossy - No pics of that awesome new set of strings and cables   Looks like it is shooting good   Sometimes it's good to take a break from shooting for a while.  I think you had gotten a little fatigued both mentally and physically.  Glad to see you are back on track.  I'm starting to feel sorry for that first ever critter come September
