Fishing Reel - oops!
« on: June 17, 2013, 08:41:30 PM »
So we took my wife's new Eagle Claw reel fishing this past weekend and it started giving us problems (seemed to "lock up" at one point, then was making an unusual sound). Anyway, tonight I thought I'd take it apart to see if I could see anything.

Unfortunately, a couple pieces fell out and I have no clue where or how they go back in.   :bash:   :-[

Below is a picture of the parts (sorry it's so blurry!). Any guidance on where they go would be much appreciated :)

Kind of like working on the rig.  Your always left with a few extra nuts and bolts.   :chuckle:  You can usually download the users manual on these reels and it will have a break down of all the pieces and an exp. view of the reel.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

It actually seems to work without them  :chuckle:

I do notice it doesn't make the signature "clicking" sound when pulling out the drag anymore...

They should go on the under side of the spool. It's only the drag clicking mech so its not going to affect performance.

Thanks. The picture's great. See a couple posts they probably go on (one might have broke or something, as one looks too small).  Again, thanks!
