Figured when they announced "last call" people flooded in to get their last chance at the Mud Marlins...  Well - above the dam will probably see it's last time open also for now on too...  There will be a mad rush Friday at Drano getting that last fish, maybe forever!   The bright side - of course,  now I will have the pace to myself for C&R....

Cohoho, it will go back to being like the old days on the lower river with the C&R Season. In the late 80's and early 90's it was not very popular, then when the shut downs started for the salmon and steelhead all of the sleds came looking. Line up just to get on the trailer at Deep River was at times up to 2 hours. For the guys that know the lower river fishery, the fish were always easy to catch, even on the slow times. Just had to put the time in and figure it out, they are at different places as the tide ebbs and flows. Can set you watch with them everyday all Summer long.

Made it out today. Caught a nice 51 incher. Lots of boats out on the lower Columbia.

All this state thinks about is $$$$$ thats why they let this fishery and many others get out of hand.  $$$$ has clouded there thoughts.
