You have to have a bad ass Chevy to get in the east side of Blanchard creek. Think a lil further north!

Went down and up it in my Duramax but there was a couple of scrapes but no dings and definitely some pucker moments :bdid:

Leaving saturday morning to head over there  :rockin:

do you have any spots narrowed down other than the ones the biologist may have given you, my son has the cow tag, don't know when we are coming over, he wants to try with a bow first, rifle if he needs it, we are also coming over to camp out of the quad trailer so looking for a place to camp close by, any ideas

Hey guys I live really close to where you'll be feel free to PM if you guys need a hand.  Sounds like you guys are getting thing dialed in but, like I said I would be happy to help the kids and the injured.  If you need I can come up there and bring my boys to help anyway we can.  Good luck and feel free to PM me for my cell number, if we're not up north hunting we'd be happy to help.

We're always game to help if we can.

Good luck!

Hey folks-
Just wanted to drop a line and introduce myself (first post on the forum) and share that my 13-year-old daughter also drew a North Mount Spokane youth antlerless tag!  She is really excited about this rare opportunity, other than having to miss school (which that part I'm still confused about!).  The whole family (me, wife, daughter, and 11-year-old son) is making the trip into the Blanchard Hump area late Sunday or Monday for the opener on Tuesday.  We'll be in a white F350 and camp trailer.  Hope to meet some of you out there.  Would love to hear some more "local knowledge" if anyone's willing!?
Thanks,
Jason

So dad and I leave Saturday morning with the RV and the Razor in tow and head over the hill. Raining in sheets and wind blowing like crazy. If you want to experience true pucker power try driving a 31Ft rv with a 30+mph crosswind :yike:. Get half way over and we hear something flapping around and look in the side mirrors and see that one of the side gusts of wind had somehow unlatched one end of the awning. Pull over right before the bridge at the bottom of Vantage and can't reach what we need to so unload Razor and stand on back of it to repair awning and secure it. Reload Razor and take off get to Spokane stop at friends house and fill rv with water and take off. Get to camping spot and crash out for the night. Wake up early sunday and uload Razor and drive around most of the day and get a phone call from a fellow HW member and ride around with him the rest of the day and still no moose. :bash: :bash:. 2 other brothers show up sunday night so monday we take Razor and truck and drive, walk and call most of the day and see 2 Bulls. One possible shooter. HW member shows up with a picture of a definte shooter. Tomorrow is the first day and the fun begins.

Opening day and let the fun begin
Up early and right back to where we seen the possible shooter the night before and spend alot of time looking around and then finally decide to go up to a closed road and do some walking. Park the Razor and get out and walk down the road and are seeing tons of sign and feeling good. Then the Green sidebyside Ranger with the two guys in it drive by us  :bash: :bash:. In doing so they drove by 4 large signs that said road closed. Walk back to the Razor and talk to dad and brother and decided to go get something to eat and make a new game plan for the day. Get a call from Hunt Wa member and says lets go hunting this evening. So brother takes one in Razor and the rest of us pile in truck and head out. Cover alot of ground pass on one small bull and are driving back to lower road and come around corner and there he is. Moose takes off running up side hill and we stop and give chase up a hill and come into a clearing moose is head on with no real shot then he takes off again and HW member calls and moose stop quartering hard looking back. Put cross hair on rear rib and touch it off. He went about 60 yds or so and piles up. :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:
