Bethel Big Bull
« on: June 20, 2013, 05:41:27 PM »
Buddy system came up big this time! My dad, myself and a buddy in his first year of elk hunting lucked out and drew the Bethel tags. Can't wait to get up there and start chasing some bulls around, mainly for them.

Congrats, me and my Dad started applying in 2001 for this tag. He passed away three years ago. This year I applied with my brother, his first time. We also drew tags for Bethel. I am excited and a little pissed cause I really wanted this hunt with my Dad. Good Luck to you and your camp.

Nah its Modern.

Ah man, I'm sorry to hear that. We lost my Gpa last year to cancer so it will be a pretty special hunt for my dad and I. I wish you coulda had the same. Good luck to you as well!

To anyone out there; I know the area pretty well but unfortunately have never had much luck. If you are willing to point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it and be more than happy to return the favor any time I can.

First time poster here.  My dad, brother and I all drew the Bethel tag for rifle.  We have never hunted there but... I see a lot of scouting trips in our future!  We can't wait!  My buddy hunts there for muzzy so I will be tagging along with him as well!  Good luck to all that were lucky enough to draw!  See you up there!

Going to start scouting soon with 2 modern tags.  Anyone know if the 1501 is open?  Was washed out last year but everbody was driving right through it.

@buglebuster yes sir!

Definitely need those 10 ply tires and new shocks, its one heck of a ride. Good luck to everyone that drew!

I'm not sure about the 1501. Seems like it takes them 3-4 years to even get started working on roads that wash out.
