Make sure to scout more than a few areas in there. You can pick 3 to be in at any given time when you sign in for the day. But if the area you want has excercises that day you will not be allowed in that area. We killed a nice buck in 9 a few years back, wanted to be in 13 and 15 but were closed. It was a one day hunt. Open country dont try and chase them down they can see you from a mile away. Once they know your coming they will keep moving and it was hard to catch up. 10 had some good bucks also.

Area is not what it used to be, indians have really destroyed it. if you want to kill a good buck your going to have to spend ALOT of time spotting and scouting.

What dates is the tag for? There are some big exercises coming up, and most areas will be closed for hunting, but not all.....

The Japanese solders and a large number of solders from JBLM moved in this past week. With that many new guys out there I'm sure that a lot of the units are shut down. Definitely worth a phone call to the bio to see if it's worth your time to come over scouting. That's the biggest drawback to that unit, they can shut it down without a moments notice.
