Bobcat kittens in a tree

Found these guys in a tree on our way back from lunch at work. There were 3 of them but one climbed down before we could get the pictures.

Was mama kitty using them as bait hoping to catch an eagle or hawk?  The most amazing thing about a bobcat is their jumping ability.  I saw one jump 10-12 feet up a tree.
