West side bear huting?

Recently moved to Spanaway and looking for a few starting points looking for bears on this side of the mtn's.  I am from the Northport area in eastern WA but baby on the way this fall not going to be able to make the trip home for hunting this year.  Any leads will be greatly appreciated.
