Tiger mountain

Anyone hear of anything good coming off hwy18 by tiger mtn. or around cougar mountain. Or further east towards the pass?

tiger is a firearm restricted zone packed with horse back riders, but the opposite side of 18 (taylor mt.) might be holding some bear elk and deer...  ;) and is modern firearm friendly

Tiger side is huntable with a Bow or muzzleloader I believe but the taylor Mt side is open to all I have only heard of one Bear killed up there this year so far ... it gets pounded!

i saw a sow and cub up there yesterday after work... and quite a few bobcats this year (taylor mt)

I see people parked on the East side of 18 across from the Tiger parking lot frequently. I assume this is where a lot of them jump in? Looking for somewhere close to home to try and get some weekday trips in here and there, might have to check it out. If anything it provides a little bit of a hike.

Like I said it gets pounded ... to accessable and the cedar river Watershed boundary is about a mile and a half in there!

 The conservation area of Tiger Mtn is closed to hunting, additionally, because of the frequency of trails and roads, it is a firearms restriction area the other half of it bow only. Taylor is hunted hard also, some guys who have the gate keys drive in and hunt it, makes it tough for those on foot at times.
