This thread proves how rare it is for a hunter to find a true 180 buck in their sights. Even a 160 is a trophy, and there's not a lot of people that will scoff at a 145" buck.

-I am a meat hunter. Not a trophy hunter. But it sure would be nice to come across a really big buck before I die.

Shot this buck in Eastern Oregon muzzle loader. Good looking buck, just doesn't score well, I think it went 158"gross.

My Wife's biggest buck, 24'' wide, big body, pretty mature buck, just over a 100 in score.

Wont net , grosses good though .

My 2011 archery buck is configured very similar to this buck.  There are certain bucks that B&C net score just doesn't do justice too.  I've displayed my 2011 archery buck next to some of my Montana bucks and 90+ % of my buddies say its the buck they'd shoot if all the bucks were in a group yet after deductions some of the Montana bucks score higher.  IMHO, Boone and Crocket's scoring is flawed in some ways.  The best example of this is the Mundy buck which is over 49" wide and scores 288+ B&C.  It also has the largest gross typical frame of any buck ever entered into B&C meaning if he didn't grow all the extras and you simply compared apples to apples he would destroy the Burris buck which is the current WR holder.  I seems silly to consider a buck a world record when you can put another buck next to it and everyone would shoot the non record buck.  I think nontypicals should still be able to be entered typical at there gross typical frame score.
