Don't mess with mama deer....

Here's a clip showing a doe and her relatively newborn fawn in a RESIDENTIAL area. This is an important short film to see because it shows you how aggressively and suddenly a doe will act to protect her young. REMEMBER,... while deer and fawns are cute...... it is a dangerous situation to insert yourself into in order to "get a closer look" or "get a better photo." Young children should be warned to STAY AWAY and pets should be removed from the area IMMEDIATELY if possible.
REMEMBER... THIS TOOK PLACE ON THE LAWN AND SIDEWALK AREAS OF A RESIDENTIAL STREET!

had a doe chase me and my dog into my house a few years ago, then she layed down on my porch and stared thru the screen door at me the whole time I ate lunch....Karma got her though, the next winter a cougar nailed her out behind my shop.

I just like that the cat gets it at the end, after pestering the deer a bunch. Feel bad for the dog though, totally blindsided him.

I think the dog learned a valuable lesson and hopefully the owner. You don't mess with a mamma and her baby. Good for the deer is my opinion. If it was my dog I would still think the deer did what it needed to do and the dog just needed to learn about nature. Our dog and cats learn how to deal with my horse and her new baby also and believe it or not the strange dog was the target not our dog. The horse did not see our dog as the threat because she is family. Just nature at it's best.

Public street Feel sorry for the dog but if it happens again in my yard this year dead deer. I have had the deer chase my dog up on the porch and my wife when she was going from the house to the garage and we live IN Town....
