3 Keepers last night, started a little rough in my 14' boat, but we endured the elements.  Lots of small ones and we only ran two pots because that is all I had.  Not terrible for 3 hours total though.

Even if you don’t get enough for dinner, a fresh crab cocktail might be the world’s best first course.

Who am I kidding, even if you don’t get ANYTHING, a day on the boat is better than the best day at the office.

Did you shake it?

Like a polaroid picture?  No, my camera on my phone is actually that bad.   :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

This thread makes me miss my puget sound view home that I sold to move to Spokompton.  Scuba diving for crab on a regular basis just off Mukilteo.

Sorry folks but that sure seems like an awful lot of work for such a small amount of meat when everything is all said and done.  Never really been into the crabs just to much mess and work for a tablespoon full of meat per crab

We do a lot of crabbing in areas 7 & 8.  After a while you get really good at cleaning, cooking, and shucking the crabs - and it doesn't take all that long.  You also can find a honey hole where the crabs are larger.  We caught a couple 8" crabs yesterday & they were stuffed full of meat.  We cook 12 minutes and eat them hot while the shells are soft.

Not only is the eating good -- you get satisfaction from a bountiful harvest and northwest tradition.  8)
