« on: July 02, 2013, 09:02:26 PM »
right now we are all out setting and checking on cameras. How big would it have to be right now to score 350 or more.?
I am thinking by the date that this bull will have a hard time reaching 300 but I am no pro what do you think?
have any pics that you think will be over that 350 mark?
If its brown knock it down

I have alot of bulls like this one on cam..I dont have a ton of exp with elk on trail cams as I dont use them much till this year for them. I dont see even 6 pts on any of mine...maybe 1  will. I see other peoples trail cam pics of big bulls and they had 6x6 bulls in late May!! Ive seen a 7x8 bull posted on Fb and plenty of others

That bull will be a nice 4pt in my opinion.  If he makes a five it will be small forked.

I saw a 7x7 bull that was probably 320" already and that was 3-4 weeks ago.
 :dunno:
Seen lots of pictures of bulls that are already healthy sized 6x6's for the last week or 2. My guess is like the other ones for that guy.  Small 3 or 4 point.

Bulls in different areas grow at different rates. The bulls in my area start growing later but seem to grow longer. Hard to tell with one pic but it seems to have ok mass and wouldnt be growing as wide if it were a 3x or 4x typically. The pics of 3's and 4's I've got over the years tend to look very skinny even with velvet. I agree with nw 5x5

Looking again that bull is already 4 I don't think it would be outrageous to think it could make it to a small 6. On the smaller bulls the 1's and 2's tend to not be as long typically

its already going to be a 4pt for sure..very easy it could be a small 6 and a 5 for sure. That bull will grow for another 40 days from that pic..all be it that the last 10 days of growth being much slower than the next few weeks
