Do you guys add water to your jars prior to canning? I’ve read that some do and some don’t..

No. No need. The meat will put a fair amount of liquid in the jars during cooking. A little salt is the only thing I ever put in the jars and we always love the finished product.

I add a tablespoon of water per pint but i doubt it is absolutely necessary.
