First Ever Trail Cam Pics.
« on: July 20, 2013, 11:03:39 PM »
This is the first time I have ever set up any trail cameras. My boys and I were all excited heading up today to check them out and we were thrilled to see what all we had....Hopefully it will let me post the photos for you all to see. I am hooked on this trail cam stuff now and so are my kids! There were aprox. 100 more photos, but I thought I would just pick out some of the cooler ones......

The bull at the end of these photos was on camera for a total of 40 minutes.....What a HAM!! LOL He seemed to take a real liking to the camera, pressing his face to it a couple times blurring it out....

Oh, and the bear was a great surprise!! Small, but a cool color phase!

Thanks Guys! If I had only knew how fun this was I would have started a long time ago! I'm such a rookie though making rookie mistakes! Hopefully the cams are picking up much better photos as we speak!

Any truth to the rumor you should always face your cams North???? Why??

Keeps the camera from facing the sun during the day.  Some cameras trigger when the sun is on them giving hundreds of washed out (basically bright white) images.  Depending on where you have your camera, I've been in some nasty holes on the westside where you could point it straight up, and never get sun pics.
