You don't see many under $1000 any more. There's a few, but most good condition examples (that I'VE seen) are $1000-1200.

The former CMP Garands I see for sale locally, FOR SOME REASON, are not priced at $525/625/995. Most Garands I've seen for sale locally are around $1000-$1200, some much more.
