That union sheet metal is tough. My dad is in local 66 and he has been through his surgeries as well. Hope your recovery goes ahead of schedule. I am really glad to see such a willingness of strangers to help out.  If only the rest of the country could be like that.

i had L5/S1 done in May... was able to get out in Sept to elk hunt and helped pack out a Bull Elk... felt great.. stay on top of the recovery pain with meds... even if you dont feeel pain im telling you ift will flare up in a second and you will be hurting... if you want start working core strenthing excerises... lay on your back an tighten your abs for 30 secons at a time then release and do this 15  times... and keep stretching dont let your hips get tight... Good luck .. i feel your pain.. and go knock down a moose...

Ya thanks.  My recovery is going good all the things you said I am doing.  Was able to elk hunt this month and hike.  Still have to watch putting a lot of weight on my back, but sounds like my recovery is mirroring yours.  Getting after moose next week is not going to be a problem and I have a few guys to help pack and horses available if needed!!!!

I live & play in Selkirk unit & willing to help if you need just let me know. I also work @ the Tribe's Camas Center for Community Wellness & we have wet & dry saunas & hot-tub if you need to soak out some soreness. small day fee & we provide the towels, good for shower after you're bloodied too.

Elkbow I live near Mt. Spokane and might be able to help if you need it.  Shoot me a PM.  My boys and I are always willing to help another hunter if we can.

Thanks guys!  I have help the first week for sure.  If it takes me longer than that I may hit you up.  Sauna sounds tempting after the hunt. Open bar?!!!!  In 15 years if I have to get next one done I might check into the laser surgery option!!  Good to know people are still willing to help out a fellow hunter!!
