Need help in Identification

Thanks to the photos and internet postings I have learned a lot about The Northern Flicker. I never realized what kind of bird I would see flying beside the back roads until now. I guess it shows "you are never to old to learn something new". Thanks to all that helped educate me last night!

It's a red-shafted Flicker.  We have 2 kinds around here the Red shafted and yellow shafted flickers.
